Robin Wren claims seagulls 'just don't exist'
A local Essex man has left the country stunned after stating he doesn't believe seagulls exist.
Mr. Robin Wren, from Southend, explained on Twitter, formerly X, how he has never once seen a seagull in his 34 years of life.
He said: "I’ve lived near the sea my entire life, and I’ve never even heard one. I think it’s all a hoax."
Wren said he “simply can’t find any concrete proof” of seagulls, citing the “lack of photographic evidence”.
“I’ve been to the beach, I’ve even seen a duck in a pond, but never a seagull. It’s all part of the agenda,” he added.
Experts, however, have disagreed. A representative from NATO urged Wren to “check his eyesight” and suggested he might have mistaken seagulls for “really big pigeons.”.
Despite his skepticism, Wren maintains that he will continue to live his life as though seagulls are a myth, claiming, “Why should I be part of the seagull agenda?”
Wren has set up a GoFundMe page to support his research into bird-related myths, which he plans to investigate further by visiting Woolworths in search of additional “proof.”
The case has sparked heated debate on social media, with #SeagullGate trending across Essex. Many locals have posted pictures of seagulls on Wren’s Facebook page, only to receive responses such as “Photoshop” or “That’s a pelican, you idiot.”
